What we collect
If you call, email, WhatsApp, or use the quote form we may hold:
- your name, company name, email address, and telephone number;
- the address or type of premises to be counted;
- the message you send about the job, including WhatsApp message content sent to 07765 225 009.
Do not send payment-card numbers, passwords, or other people’s personal data in the form or by WhatsApp.
The public WhatsApp number is the same as the public telephone number, 07765 225 009. If you message that number we may receive your WhatsApp name, telephone number, and the content of the message, and we use that only to quote and arrange a stocktake.
WhatsApp is provided by Meta. Their terms and privacy notice apply to the app. We do not require you to use WhatsApp; you can call, email, or send the form instead.
Photographs on this site
Some pages use licensed stock photographs of shop floors and warehouses to illustrate the kind of premises we count. They are not photographs of our staff, named customers, or completed jobs, unless a later fact-sheet row says otherwise.
Why we use it
We use enquiry details to quote, arrange, and carry out stocktakes, and to keep records if you become a client. That is so we can take steps at your request before a contract, and then to perform the contract if you book us.
Website analytics
If you accept analytics cookies we use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are used and whether someone reached the contact page. Google processes that data as our analytics provider. We do not load Analytics until you accept. You can reject analytics and still use the site, including the quote form.
Who we share with
We do not sell enquiry lists. We may share details with our IT and email providers so the form and mailbox work, and with professional advisers if a job requires it. If you book a count, we may share what is needed with the buyer, seller, or their solicitor or accountant where that is part of the job you asked for.
How long we keep it
Unsuccessful enquiries are kept only while we handle the quote and a short follow-up. If you become a client we keep what the law and tax rules require for that work. We have not published a longer retention schedule.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion where the law allows. Write to info@thestocktaker.co.uk. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
